Hey, Mrs. Rabe! The recipe is the Perfect Rustic Dinner Roll recipe from Cook's Illustrated Magazine... I copied it from a library copy of the magazine. They say on their site that you have to have a membership to see the recipe. Does that mean I'm not supposed to post it here? It's a very basic one. It's water, white flour, 3 T. of whole wheat, yeast, a little honey, salt. No fat. High heat baking. They turn out almost like English muffins.
They look pretty in Will's picture, don't they? He's 16, by the way--turns 17 in March. Thanks so much for your kind comments.
Thanks for sharing Melissa! They really sound amazing - I will make sure I have yeast on my grocery list this week - too bad I don't have Will to take such a lovely photo of them :)

Come right on over, Emmy!:) Wouldn't it be happy if you could? We could probably manage to be snowed in this week!
The rolls were good--super chewy and crusty. Did you notice the pretty new towel from your mama underneath them?
Love you!

STOP!!!!
You are making me really hungry.
Could someone please pass Sister Williams the butter, honey and a tall glass of raw milk?
Then Will can take my photo as I do my impersonation of Templeton.
Love you!

Miss A, you crack me right up!
Love you back.
There's nothing better than fresh bread from the oven. You're inspiring me to make some rolls of my own. :)
