Ben's 11th Birthday

'King Edmund' and 'Queen Lucy'

At the high table.
.
Olivia decorated, created costumes, and generally Narnia-ized the event.
.

At the birthday supper table with dear ones. Only those who shared our coughing and fever virus actually attended. We hope to have another supper with grandparents and uncle and auntie when everyone is done being contagious. There was a need, of course, to go ahead with some celebration in spite of sickness. Edith would say so, wouldn't she?

Fudgy chocolate sheet cake. Great Grammy Pearl's recipe, Great Grandma M.'s cake plate.
.
Sweet Queenly Livi
.
Candle lighting. That's Willie (King Peter?)'s hand.

Dear Melissa,
A very happy birthday to Ben! Your dear and lovely Olivia Grace is so talented! She did a wonderful job with the decorations and costumes! I love the Dawn Treader she sculpted! The birthday party looks like such fun. I love their outfits! They look very kingly and queenly indeed!

Love, Paula
