Here are pictures, taken mostly by Katie, of our Monday evening together. I'm so glad she carries that camera around and captures bits of the ordinary-but-to-be-noticed-and-enjoyed scenes. I'm often blessed to see glimpses that I would have missed because I was involved in conversation or cooking in another corner while she snapped away. We were joined that day by good friend-and-little-sister-in-Jesus, Sarah. She's there in one of the dusky dark pictures. It was good to spend the day with her, puttering with housework, and getting ready for a little family cookout. There was even time for a little peace, quiet, and rest in mid-afternoon.
.
Will was our grill-man. Too bad we didn't get a picture of patient Olivia threading all of those pork pieces onto the skewers!

The honeysuckle is in sweet-smelling bloom. We took a walk after supper down by the vegetable gardens and grove.
..

.Livi holding [probably a poem!] in her mouth, helping with a little sandal, and Jeff talking gardening with the unseen Sarah.
I like Livi's contemplative pose, and the glowy kitchen through the door.

The beginnings of our rustic little deck decoration.

A campfire-ish end to a lovely day.
