Sweet daughter Kat sent a care package full of lovely things to eat and embelished with this seasonal decoration.

I bet it looks so lovely there on that mirror with the sun shining. Happiness.

Sweet Kat must share how she dried the oranges. In a dehydrator? In a low temp oven? Just hanging in the kitchen? C'mon Katie, spill. I have to have one of these hanging in my kitchen window immediately! Soooo lovely.

This is one of the nicest garlands of dried oranges I have seen. The color is so pretty.

I would like to know what she used to dry them as well....

Oooh, I make these, too, using blood oranges. They last for years.

Jodi, I think the inspiration came from you, actually! Your beautiful blog and life do that for us on a regular basis! Keep it up, you bless us so much.

Mrs. Rabe, and Meredith~
I think some of these were done in my dehydrator, and some in Katie's oven...we're eclectic in our processes like that...:)

Blood oranges must be the difference in the deep color I see in the dried oranges!

Well gosh! I'm honored to be inspiring, especially to someone as creative as you and your daughter Kat. I must say, the choice of the regular oranges as opposed to the blood oranges is lovely with the green of the bay leaves. Thank YOU for the inspiration!

I love this! It's so pretty, I'm thinking of making one for my house. I do enjoy reading your blog...even though I rarely comment.

How beautiful. What a lovely garland.

I'm also very moved by the beautiful poem in your sidebar by Grace Noll Crowell.
